Hockey Learn to Play

Spring 2024

Participants will enhance their hockey-playing abilities by acquiring skills such as forward and backward crossovers, hockey stops, and inside and outside edge work, among others. We will also introduce fundamental power skating concepts, and as individuals make progress, full hockey gear will be integrated into the training.

Prerequisite: Hockey Learn To Skate or comparable class. Skaters should be capable of forward and backward skating and stopping.

Ages 4+

Spring Sesson:

Sundays: March 17 - May 12, 2024 

(8 sessions)

Time: Instruction: 12:30-1:00

12:00-12:30 Open Ice

Cost: $100

The Hockey Learn to Play session will start at NOON with a 30-minute session of "Open Ice." During this time, participants will have the chance to simply enjoy themselves! We understand that at this age, attention to instruction can be limited. Therefore, the formal class will start promptly at 12:30 and conclude at 1:00. This initial 30-minute period will allow your young hockey player to stretch their legs and engage in unstructured play without formal instruction.

If your child requires any hockey equipment for the sessions, please don't worry! We have everything they need available at the rink. Please arrive 20-30 minutes early to make sure we can size the gear and get your player dressed.

May/June 2024
